Your eye sight will not be clear right away. You will remain under the influence of anaesthetic medications for up to 24 hours so please take care when walking.

It is essential for you to have someone to assist you at home during the first 24 hours after surgery in order to reduce your risk of falls and/or injuries. You are able to resume normal eating and drinking on discharge.

Depending on the type of procedure you had, you may be required to posture in a certain way (i.e. face down) for a definite period of time.

If post-vitrectomy positioning equipment is required please contact Summit Support (1300 133 116) or visit the website www.vitrectomy.com.au.
